It is my belief that healing takes place within the context of a collaborative relationship. The most effective piece to a counselling relationship is the rapport between you and your counsellor. Counselling is different than talking to a friend or family member and is not always comfortable for everyone ...but in turn should provide clarity.

My Training & Approach to Therapy  ​

I feel strongly that change happens when you decide that certain things in your life are no longer serving you, so, question to you is: “ how do you know you want a better life?” or “what keeps hope alive for you?”.

My History

I held an active license in Nursing for over 30 years. During that time I worked in various clinical areas, community health & teaching. My interests lay in helping people heal physically and emotionally. I hold a diploma in Parish Nursing which emphasizes spiritual healing and thereby looks at the whole person. Through my previous career in Nursing it has strengthened my capacity to care and listen to others in an unbiased way and also equipped me to understand how the intersections of physical and emotional aspects can affect a persons well-being.

....After spending over 2 decades in health care I completed my Masters in clinical counselling through the City University of Seattle. I continue to engage in ongoing professional development, training and supervision.  Doing so has equipped me to feel comfortable engaging with various therapeutic modalities that address a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions and relationship counselling.
